Vice-President was the stray puppy that Hachiken found and rescued; the equestrian club decided to name him "Vice-President's Dog", as Hachiken had just been made Vice President of the Equestrian club. The name was quickly shortened to "Vice President". He has since become the unofficial guard dog of the horse stable.

As is normal with dogs, he has a good idea for who he believes to be more alpha than him. At first, Hachiken is not on that list until he does more research and shows his superiority.

Vice-President is known to be better at learning than Keiji Tokiwa. Even to the point of learning to run a small obstacle course, run by Tokiwa.

Adorable small dog with three shades of brown fur. He wears a small tube around his neck that says "snack money" to help pay for his food or other dog related needs.

History

He was found among trash, as Hachiken's second odd find in the trash. As he is with most things, Hachiken was worried about whether or not the club would be able to keep the dog. Those worries were all for naught because Sakuragi immediately agreed, not seeing any reason the club couldn't take care of the dog as there are many other stray animals on campus. There was minor concern as to how they'd pay for the necessary shots, but Tokiwa quickly came up with a great plan to help with that: he made a small necklace holding a piece of bamboo with a slot for coins on it marked "snack money". Between this and the money Hachiken had leftover from his summer work, the shots were handled. To finalize Vice-President's place in the Equestrian Club, Shinei Ōkawa built him a small dog house marked with his name.

Hachiken then had to study and work hard to earn Vice-President's respect, because Vice-President refused to listen to him at first. This was necessary as Hachiken was usually the one to take him on walks, including when he passed out and went to the hospital for overworking himself. Over time, Vice-President became quite talented and was able to go through an Equestrian Club themed obstacle course as instructed by Tokiwa.

After the main characters have all graduated and the story comes to a close, Vice-President is still shown at the school with an upgraded dog house. The upgrades include a second section with an entrance and a chimney on top. At this time, he is taken care of and taken for walks by the principal.
