Tamako Inada (稲田 多摩子, Inada Tamako) is a first-year student of Yezo Agricultural High School within the Department of Dairy Science who is focusing on agriculture finance and the younger sister of Shinichiro Inada.
Personality & Character[]
Appearance[]
Tamako is a light-skinned girl with ginger hair that has parted bangs and a high ponytail; it reaches past her shoulders, brown eyes and she usually appears obese, but she has the ability to rapidly lose weight, revealing a thin build that she bears a striking resemblance of her mother. Also, if you look at just facial features, most of the family has near identical faces.
However, she maintains this only in limited time as she says her skinny form easily weakens her and prefers to stay big to maintain energy.
Personality[]
Tamako is a self-admitted lover of money who can't get enough of managing it; she intends to take over her family farm and said to oust her own parents out of the operation to further develop their family business on a grander scale. Because of her business-like approach to all things in life, she has growing talents in business, often showing an opportunistic and capitalistic attitude to whatever could make money and can easily produce a business proposal to gain support. She's also brutally honest and not afraid of pointing out the blunt truth of things toward her peers, at times making her uncomfortable around friends or a great source of honesty.
Background[]
She grew up living on Giga Farm, an over 300 hectare large scale factory-esque farm that in comparison to the other farms seen, makes them seem small. It is big enough that they have their own Combine Harvester.[1]
Skills & Abilities[]
Growing up in a large agriculture operation, her family specializes in large scale cattle operation, processing and selling milk and selling beef; she has intimate knowledge about raising cows and has a strong business sense. After learning from Yezo High, she also knows about basics in farming, livestock care (raising chickens, raising pigs), processing chickens, and making bacon. She excels in agricultural management. She possesses great strength, strong enough to hit a person into a wall; she also show great skill and speed in ping-pong, having a special attack move to finish opponents.
The most unique feature about Tamako is her ability to rapidly gain and lose weight; she can shed her obese image and become thin in a short time, getting attention from the boys, but she chooses her obese form to avoid getting anemic.
Also, while playing table tennis, she was shown to have a near 15 foot vertical leap.
History[]
She grew up in Giga Farm with the eventual goal of completely overtaking her parents.
Relationships[]
Yugo Hachiken[]
Tamako when it comes to Yugo becomes a sort of reality check when he is getting stuck in his own way of thinking or perspective. Her businesslike serious personality is reminiscent of Yugo's father, but is better explained in a way that helps Yugo grow from it. They have mutual trust when it comes to business or financials in general. She helps with taking over the budgeting for the second round of buying pigs and goes over his business plan numerous times to help prepare it for his father.
Etymology[]
- The name Tamako means "many" (多) (ta), "wear" (摩) (ma) and "child" (子) (ko).
- Round like an egg as her name implies, Tamago means egg in Japanese
- Tamako's surname Inada means "rice plant" (稲) (ina) and "field, rice paddy" (田) (ta/da).
